PicMaster is a very comprehensive application intended for editing images. It lets you perform common operations, like cropping, resizing, rotating, processing colors, etc. Another feature lets you download photos directly from your digital camera. Similarly, you can use a scanner to acquire an image. You can also use this application to capture still images from video, present slide shows and take screenshots. Creating catalogs will help you organize your images and have a good overview of your files.
Interesting enough is what this application is capable of doing with a webcam; it lets you take snapshots and publish them on your website via an FTP server. Just as remarkable is the capability to create 3D images which offers several methods to view them. Another interesting feature is morphing, which lets you create smooth transformations between two images.
This application’s interface is rather plain and the toolbar buttons are too small and not intuitive enough. However, there is a welcome screen that will take right to the help topics related to the operation you are trying to carry out. Additionally, there is a link to an Internet info-tour with a detailed description of the program.
The above description does not include everything PicMaster is capable of. The trial version is limited by a nag screen appearing from time to time and making you wait for a while until you can return to the program. Nevertheless, this limitation is quite bearable taking into account that the trial version is fully functional.
